One of the best devices on the market today for portable downloading of movies, TV shows and music is the zune. It also looks pretty cool too. Until the zune I was not really into the idea of hand held video devices I can listen to music 24/7 but washing video on the go never appealed to me. However now that it is possible to load your favourite movie or latest tv show in seconds. And if like me you spend time commuting on a train. It's a welcome break from reality. I think the whole area of hand held media is now coming into its own. It is only a decade ago when anybody seen carrying a mobile phone smaller than a house brick would be considered space age.
We are now able to carry our entire entertainment collections in our pocket. en fact the shear amount of information anyone of us can carry on a device like the zune is mind-boggling. We've come a long way from the days when cold war spy's risked their lives smuggling rolls of microfilm containing the entire contents of one A4 folder in their shoe heals in fact these days anyone of us can easily be walking around with a device the size of a shoe heel capable of holding a million volumes of the encyclopaedia Britannica.
The idea now of being able to escape my humdrum rail journey watching an entire season of Friends or listening to yesterday's radio casts is so enlightening. I'm at home with my feet up an entire weeks vacation ahead of me hang wait a minute the train is just pulling into the station just enough time to run for the bus. Never mind Ill watch an entire movie whilst sitting in the worst traffic jam London has seen for a decade and be blissfully unaware.
